THE UPSON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS GOT AN UPDATED FIGURE OF ALMOST $22.9 MILLION FOR THE NEW PROPOSED JUSTICE CENTER AT A WEDNESDAY WORK SESSION--BUT THEY WANT TO HOLD THE LINE AT $22 MILLION. THE ARCHITECTS IPG OF VALDOSTA AND PARRISH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY WERE ALLOWED TO MOVE AHEAD WITH THE BID PROCESS WITH BID SPECS OUT IN JANUARY-- BUT CONTINUE TO WORK ON TRIMMING THE COST. ONE ITEM NOT IN THE BUDGET THAT WAS DISCUSSED , IS AN ACCESS FROM BLUE GRASS STREET INTO THE CENTER FOR SECURITY TRANSPORT OF INMATES.
