UPSON CO. MAN SHOT

UPSON COUNTY SHERIFF DAN KILGORE SAYS A MAN WAS TREATED AT THE E.R. AFTER HE WAS SHOT AND WOUNDED ABOUT TWO DOZEN TIMES IN THE BACK AND ARM WITH BIRDSHOT FROM A 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN.

28 YEAR OLD SHANE GREGORY BLACK OF 1040 JEFF DAVIS ROAD HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH AGGREVATED ASSAULT.

THE UPSON S.O. REPORT SAID THE VICTIM—54 YEAR OLD BENAJAH ROSS WAINWRIGHT BOUGHT A MOTOR FOR $200 FROM BLACK AND CAME BACK TO CHECK ON IT AND IT WAS MISSING.

BLACK ALLEGEDLY SHOT HIM AND TOLD HIM TO LEAVE OR HE WOULD SHOOT HIM AGAIN.


WAINWRIGHT DROVE OFF AND TOLD DEPUTIES HE THOUGHT HIS ARM WOULD FALL OFF AFTER HE WAS SHOT.
