MOTORIST FLEEING THE LAW AND A TROOPER INJURED

IN PIKE COUNTY EARLY TUESDAY, A MOTORIST RUNNING FROM A ROAD CHECK AND A STATE TROOPER CHASING HIM WERE BOTH INJURED WHEN THEY FLIPPED OVER ON HIGHWAY 362.

ACCORDING TO GSP POST 26 IN THOMASTON---THE DRIVER OF A 2002 TAHOE, 44 YEAR OLD CLEVELAND DORSEY OF AMERICUS ROLLED OVER SEVERAL TIMES , WAS EJECTED AND AIR FLIGHTED TO GRADY HOSPITAL IN ATLANTA.

TROOPER JACOB OLIVER FLIPPED IN HIS PATROL UNIT AND WAS TREATED AND RELEASED AT SPALDING REGIONAL HOSPITAL.

PROPERTY DAMAGE FROM THE WRECK CAUSED A POWER OUTAGE IN THE AREA AROUND OLD FAYETTEVILLE ROAD.


DORSEY FACES SEVERAL CHARGES INCLUDING DUI , FLEEING, AND SUSPENDED LICENSE.
