DAVID PFOTZER OF PFOTZER PROPERTIES MARIETTA, GA. GOT LOTS OF PUSH BACK ABOUT A REZONING REQUEST ON VETERANS DRIVE FOR 180 UPSCALE APARTMENTS AT MONDAY'S MEETING OF THE THOMASTON ZONING COMMISSION. A VOTE WAS DELAYED UNTIL AUGUST BUT MEMBERS ROBERT CHATMAN AND TROY WOODARD VOICED RESERVATIONS ABOUT THE PROJECT AND BUSINESSMAN BOB FLETCHER WAS AMONG NEAR-BY HOMEOWNERS OPPOSED AND TOLD HIM--HE'S MAKING A MARKETING MISTAKE.
COUNTY COMMISSIONER BEN WATSON WHO LIVES ON HILL STREET SAID WE NEED HOUSING IN THE COMMUNITY BUT NOT AT THIS LOCATION.
