WARRANT ISSUED IN BARNESVILLE SHOOTING

BARNESVILLE POLICE INVESTIGATOR AL MOLTRUM SAYS A WARRANT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR A SUSPECT IN THE SHOOTING BEHIND SAMMY'S CONVIENCE STORE NEAR MILL AND RAILROAD STREETS JULY 21ST. 

THE SUSPECTED SHOOTER IDENTIFIED AS CEDDRICK TURPIN IS STILL AT LARGE BUT FACES NUMEROUS CRIMINAL WARRANTS INCLUDING ARMED ROBBERY AND TWO COUNTS OF AGGREVATED ASSAULT FOR WOUNDING A BY-STANDER IN THE SHOULDER. TURPIN IS ALSO WANTED BY CAMILLA, GA POLICE FOR ARMED ROBBERY FOR STEALING A DODGE CHARGER. 

B.P.D. SAYS THERE ARE TWO OTHER PERSONS OF INTEREST IN THE CASE AS THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES.

DETECTIVE MOLTRUM SAYS THE SUSPECTS WERE SELLING CELL PHONES OUT OF THE STOLEN CHARGER WHEN THE SHOOTING HAPPENED, THEY FLED TO THOMASTON, ENCOUNTERED THOMASTON POLICE, THEN FLED OUT 36 WEST AND WRECKED IN TALBOT COUNTY, ESCAPING INTO SOME WOODS. THERE ARE INDICATIONS THE WANTED SUBJECTS ARE FROM COLUMBUS.
