Shelia Hall Has Resigned From The City Of Thomaston Community Affairs Committee

ACCORDING TO CITY OF THOMASTON MANAGER RUSSELL THOMPSON, SHELIA HALL HAS INFORMED HIM SHE IS RESIGNING FROM THE CITY'S COMMUNITY AFFAIRS COMMITTEE.

MS. HALL AND JACK GRUBB WERE THE TWO WHITE CITIZENS APPOINTED TO THE COMMITTEE AND NOW BOTH HAVE LEFT, WITH THREE MINORITY MEMBERS REMAINING.

MS. HALL, A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION, CAST THE ONLY VOTE AGAINST A MOTION AT THE LAST MEETING TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL THAT CITY HALL MOVE OUT OF THE GOVERNMENT COMPLEX IN THE FORMER R.E. LEE INSTITUTE BUILDING, BECAUSE OF CONFEDERATE IMAGERY THERE.
