NEW TRAFFIC SIGNAL APPROVED

AT A CALLED MEETING FRIDAY, THE THOMASTON CITY COUNCIL APPROVED THE LOW BID FOR A HAWK TRAFFIC SIGNAL ON NORTH CHURCH STREET TO STOP TRAFFIC IN BOTH DIRECTIONS WHEN FIRE TRUCKS ARE DISPATCHED FROM THE SITE OF THE NEW FIRE STATION UNDER CONSTRUCTION. 

THE LOW BID $79,500 FROM A DOUGLASVILLE, GA. COMPANY.

COUNCIL WAS TOLD IT COULD BE FUNDED BY THE BOND FINANCING THE FIRE STATION OR BY FEDERAL COVID-19 RELIEF DOLLARS.
