TWO UL KNIGHTS ARRESTED FOR POT

TWO MEMBERS OF THE UL KNIGHTS BASKETBALL TEAM WILL NOT PLAY IN SATURDAY'S STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME AT GA. TECH BECAUSE OF A SATURDAY NIGHT MARIJUANA ARREST.

STARTER JACOREY JAMAL SMITH AND A RESERVE OTIS JAVEON WALKER , BOTH 17 YEARS OF AGE WERE ARRESTED NEAR THE GREATEST GENERATION PARK ALONG WITH TWO 18 YEARS OLDS, RODNEY RAINES AND HAMILTON HARRIS HARRISON.

THOMASTON POLICE CHIEF MIKE RICHARDSON TOLD ZOOM NEWS A 911 CALL ABOUT SUSPICIOUS VEHICLES DISPATCHED OFFICERS , WHO DETECTED A MARIJUANA ODOR AND A K-9 OFFICER FOUND POT IN 3 OF 4 VEHICLES.

ALL FOUR POSTED BOND OF $982 AND WERE RELEASED AT THE UPSON COUNTY JAIL.


ITS THE POLICY OF THE THOMASTON-UPSON COUNTY SCHOOLS TO PROHIBIT PARTICIPATION IN SCHOOL ACTIVITIES FOLLOWING AN ARREST UNTIL THE INVESTIGATION IS COMPLETED.
