HENRY CO. D.A. SEEKING DEATH PENALTY FOR MURDER OF SOPHIA BULLARD OF THOMASTON

HENRY COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY DARIUS PATTILLO ANNOUNCED TUESDAY HE PLANS TO SEEK THE DEATH PENALTY FOR JACOB KOSKY AGE 23 AND MATTEW BAKER JR. AGE 19 FOR THE MURDER OF 4 YOUTHS ON MOCCASIN GAP ROAD BACK ON OCT. 26TH.

SHOT TO DEATH WERE SOPHIA BULLARD, 20 OF THOMASTON, MATTEW HICKS, 18, KEITH GIBSON, 29, AND DESTINY OLINGER, 20.

THREE OTHERS ARE CHARGED WITH MISDEMEANOR OBSTRUCTION FOR NOT COOPERATING WITH POLICE, JACOB WILLIAMS, 18, KAYLA HEAD, 21, AND BROOK KNIGHT, 19.

A HEARING SET FOR KOSKY AND BAKER TUESDAY WAS POSTPONED AFTER BAKER'S ATTORNEY WITHDREW FROM THE CASE BECAUSE HE DOES NOT HANDLE DEATH PENALTY CASES— HEARING RESCHEDULED FOR APRIL 11TH.

AUTHORITIES SAY KOSKY AND BAKER ATTENDED A BON FIRE AT THE HOUSE—LEFT AND RETURNED LATER AND ALLEGEDLY SHOT THOSE FOUR YOUTHS AT THE PARTY.
