POLICE CHASE SUNDAY FROM ZEBULON TO THOMASTON

CITY OF ZEBULON POLICE OFFICER TRUSTIN BRAZIER WAS TREATED AT THE E.R. AFTER HIS PATROL UNIT WAS TOTALED IN A HIGH SPEED CHASE SUNDAY ON U.S. 19 FROM ZEBULON TO THOMASTON.

THE RUN-A-WAY DRIVER WAS IN THE SONIC DRIVE-IN PARKING LOT IN NORTHSIDE THOMASTON WHEN HE SLAMMED INTO OFFICER BRAZIER'S POLICE CAR AND KEPT GOING.

THE CHASE CONTINUED TO EAST COUNTY ROAD—WHERE THE AXLE COLLAPSED ON THE CAR NEAR THE MACHINE SHOP AT THE CREEK BRIDGE AND IT RAN IN A DITCH. THE DRIVER GOT AWAY ON FOOT. TWO PASSENGERS IN THE FLEEING VEHICLE WERE FROM TENNESSEE.

ZEBULON P.D. THOMASTON POLICE, UPSON S.O. AND THE GA. STATE PATROL WERE ALL INVOLVED IN THE CHASE AT SOME POINT.


THE CASE IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION.
