MONEKIA IVEY OF POPLAR DRIVE, A CANDIDATE FOR CITY OF THOMASTON MAYOR PRO-TEM HAS DROPPED OUT OF THE RACE, JUST DAYS AFTER QUALIFING FOR THE NOV. 2ND MUNICIPAL ELECTION.
CITY MANAGER RUSSELL THOMPSON TOLD 101 NEWS HER QUALIFYING FEE WAS REFUNDED. IT LEAVES INCUMBENT DOUG HEAD, SHARON KING OF HERBERT STREET AND LORI LINDSAY OF AVALON ROAD IN THE RACE.
